There is a heightened sense of respect for life and you start valuing what you have in life. You start being happy, and always content at heart. This becomes particularly important in the face of the poisonously rising materialism of the contemporary capitalist world. Although the modern society is pre-dominantly materialistic in nature, it is necessary for us to understand that materialism can lead to insecurity, unhealthy obsession with material products, unhappiness, failure, despair and dejection. The problem with such unchecked materialism is that you are never content. This means that you are always hungry for more. The desire to achieve for becomes insatiable thirst. And when we are incapable of achieving such material goals, we tend to experience
despair, dejection, loneliness, failure and more commonly hollowness. This is happens because you have shifted your core belief from spirituality to materiality.

It is also not polemical to assume that in life, we do face failures. And when we do, we need something to hold us down-and idea that something beyond the material realm of human beings can guide us through our ordeal. Now in the absence of that sense of something guiding us; that some sort of safety net, we tend to break down. We lose hope. This is not only unhealthy but dangerous. However, in the presence of spirituality and in the belief of a higher power, one does not lose hope even in the face of ordeal and hardship. One is able to stay formidable and consistent in his path. One does not give up.
